README.TXT FILE FOR ReportViewer Windows and Web Forms Projects

1. If you're using Visual Web Developer Express, download the Report Builder and ReportViewer (SQLServer2005_ReportAddIn.msi) add-in for the Visual Web Developer Express edition: Select from an MSN or Google search for SQLServer2005_ReportAddin.msi. Or goto http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/4/D/44DBDE61-B385-4FC2-A67D-48053B8F9FAD/SQLServer2005_ReportAddin.msi

2. Install the Northwind sample database (SQL2000SampleDb.msi) on SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2005 Express: Select from MSN or Google search on Northwind and pubs Sample Databases for SQL Server 2000. 3. Install the AdventureWorks 2005 sample database (AdventureWorksDB.msi) on SQL Server 2005 Express: Click the AdventureWorks Sample Database link on the preceding page.

4. Unzip WRVCode.zip to create and populate the \ReportViewer\ReportSmartClient and \ReportViewer\ReportWebSite folders.

5. If you're using SQL Server Express, change 'localhost' in the connection strings of both projects to 'localhost\SQLEXPRESS'.

6. Run the \ReportViewer\ReportSmartClient\ReportSmartClient.sln project.

7. Open and run the \ReportViewer\ReportWebSite Web site.
